Noutajy App Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what data the Noutajy mobile app uses and how it is protected. It covers the app; the noutajy.com website has its own legal notice.

1. In short

Noutajy is a learning app for children aged 2 to 8.

  • no ads, no purchases, no analytics, no tracking;
  • no account and no email address required;
  • children's data stays on the device and is never sent to us.

2. Who we are

The Noutajy app is published by [À COMPLÉTER : prénom et nom de l'éditeur] (Benin). For any question about your data: [À COMPLÉTER : adresse e-mail de contact].

3. Data that stays on the device

To make the app work, the following information is stored on the device, and only on the device:

  • for each child profile: a first name (a nickname is fine) and an age range;
  • their progress: games completed, stars and points, daily play time, mistakes to practise again;
  • settings: language, music, play time limit;
  • drawings made in the colouring area.

We have no access to this data. It is deleted when you delete the profile or uninstall the app.

4. Drawings

Drawings are saved in the app and, only when the child asks, in the device's photo gallery. They are never sent over the Internet.

5. Downloaded content

The app may download new colouring pages and seasonal music from our server. No personal data is sent for this; as with any download, the server technically sees the device's IP address, which is neither kept nor used to identify you.

The "Printable worksheets" button in the Parents' area opens the noutajy.com website in the browser; that website is governed by its own legal notice.

6. Voice, microphone, camera and location

Instructions are read aloud by the device's text-to-speech engine. The app never records sound and does not use the microphone, the camera or location.

It only asks for Internet access (for downloaded content) and, when a drawing is saved, access to the photo gallery.

7. What we never do

  • show advertising;
  • sell, rent or share data;
  • profile the child or their habits;
  • use an advertising ID, an analytics tool or links to social networks.

8. Retention

Data stays on the device until the profile (Parents' area, Settings) or the app is deleted.

9. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete the data directly in the app, from the Parents' area. For any question or request, write to us at [À COMPLÉTER : adresse e-mail de contact].

You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country: in Benin, the APDP (apdp.bj); in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

10. Children

The app is intended for children, under the responsibility of a parent. Settings and profile deletion are in the Parents' area, protected by a three-digit code written out in words, which a young child cannot yet read. We never ask for an email address, a phone number or any other contact information.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, the update date at the top of the page is changed. Any significant change will also be announced in the app.
